Meet the Maker-episode 2 The winery @ilpalazzone is owned by Richard Parson, a renowned New Yorker with a strong passion for wines. It is run by Laura Gray, Scottish origin but Montalcinese by heart. In fact, she has been living in Montalcino since she was a teenager. Il Palazzone has vineyards in two distinctive areas of Montalcino and produces one of the most traditional expressions of Brunello. Discover more in this short video, especially the character of high altitude Brunello vineyards and whether it is convenient to have vineyards in different spots. In 2015 only 10 866 bottles of Brunello were produced at Il Palazzone. It was scored 95 points by James Suckling and we were fortunate enough to have some in our last Wine Club shipment.
