Tape Triumph : one small packaging improvement
Our processes and dry goods are under constant scrutiny since we are always keen to improve our practice as far as sustainability is concerned, be it through plant-based closures or the decision to lightweight our bottles back in 2010. The cellar was built environmental criteria firmly in mind in 2012.
The latest change has been a switch to paper tape in the cellar which means less plastic in the world and that our wine cartons (produced from 60% recycled cardboard) can now be painlessly recycled. The new tape is terrifically handsome and even the solvent used is natural.
Kudos to Cellarwoman Paola who sourced this product and did not give up on the order until it was delivered.
Ps. All tape in Italy is referred to as Scotch - here’s why.
