Long Live Brunello!

Il Palazzone is absolutely delighted to be participating in Long Live Brunello, an exclusive event that will take place in Montalcino from 21st to 23rd June 2019 in the beautiful setting of the S. Agostino cloister. This event is the first of its kind and will showcase the aging capacity of Brunello and the rightful place of this wine amongst the great wines of the world.

All attending producers will be pouring three vintages prior to 2007 plus a recent release. We are honored to be part of this spectacular group of just 34 Montalcino wineries:

Argiano, Biondi Santi, Canalicchio di Sopra, Caprili, Casanova di Neri, Castiglion del Bosco, Cerbaiona, Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, Col d'Orcia, Cupano, Gianni Brunelli, Il Marroneto, Il Palazzone, La Magia, Le Chiuse, Le Potazzine, Le Ragnaie, Lisini, Mastroianni, Pian dell'Orino, Piave Santa Restituta, Podere Le Ripi, Podere Salicutti, Poggio di Sotto, San Filippo, Sanlorenzo, San Polino, Sesti, Siro Pacenti, Stella di Campalto, Tassi, Uccelliera, Val di Suga, Valdicava.

The full programme will be unveiled in future weeks, including what vintages will be poured by each producer, but what is already clear is that the event will provide some incredible and unprecedented tasting experiences. The tasting on Saturday 22nd is a ticketed event and entrance will be limited to just 150 participants. Hans Haas of the restaurant Tantris in Munich will present several dishes as the evening goes on.

There will be three masterclasses:

Long Live France, led by Jacky Rigaux, one of the great experts of Burgundy, terroir and aging potential, showing the wines of Anselme Selosse, Loic Pasquet, Louis Jadot, Jean Michel Deiss, Bruno Clavelier, Patrick Baudouin, Yann Chave and others.

Long Live Franco Biondi Santi, conducted by Tancredi Biondi Santi who will review Tenuta Il Greppo, from the 1950s to the present time.

Long Live Italia, presented by Christian Roger, founder of Vino e Finanza, permanent member of the Grand Jury Europeen and consultant to world-class wineries. Wines from Piemonte, Veneto, Toscana, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Umbria, Campania and Abruzzo will be poured.
