According to Tom Hyland…“The newly released examples of Brunello di Montalcino from the 2015 vintage have recently become available on the market, following tremendous praise from the producers and many in the wine press. Do the wines live up to the advance hype? In a word, definitely. Overall, the 2015 vintage for Brunello di Montalcino is the finest since 2010, and is a vintage that delivers with excellent ripeness and admirable structure.”

He included Il Palazzone in his list of the 2015 Brunellos categorized as “Outstanding” and rated 4.5 out of 5 Stars. “Il Palazzone - Textbook Brunello aromas of morel cherry, hint of red plum and geranium. Medium-full with very good to excellent concentration. Good acidity, excellent persistence, very subdued wood notes, with the emphasis on the beautiful Sangiovese fruit. Very low-key, elegant style of Brunello with lovely precision. Peak in 15-20 years, but very approachable now.”
